Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks have sparked controversy, with leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accusing him of making “indecent” comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s father.
It is reported that during an event in the state of Bihar, as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was speaking, a man shouted, “Modi isn’t going anywhere.” The man later clarified that what he meant was, “As long as there is no insurrection within the country, Narendra Modi isn’t going anywhere.”
Kharge responded to the man’s remark by saying, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega” (even Modi’s father will have to go).
Speaking at an event commemorating the 139th birth anniversary of Bihar’s first Chief Minister, Shrikrishna Singh, Kharge stated that the Congress party would send those implicated in irregularities concerning the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process to jail.
When someone in the audience shouted, “Modi isn’t going anywhere,” Kharge retorted with his sharp reply.
